Jah is the kind of rune that can change how a character feels from one fight to the next. In Diablo 4 Season 15, this Legendary Invocation rune replaces your usual evade with Teleport, giving you a way to move through dangerous encounters. It's easy to see why players compare it with the old Enigma armor. If you're sorting through D4 items for an endgame build, Jah is worth keeping on your radar. Getting one can take time, though, so it helps to have a plan that doesn't rely on a single lucky drop.
Make Your Undercity Runs Count
The Kurast Undercity is a place to start your search. Use a Greater Tribute of Harmony before entering to focus the completion rewards on runes, then pay attention to the timer and your attunement as you make your way through. Killing enemies quickly matters, but don't rush past opportunities to raise attunement. A better reward chest gives you more to show for the run, even when Jah doesn't appear. Bring a build you're comfortable moving with, and learn where you tend to lose time. You want repeatable clears, not one perfect run followed by several failed attempts. Save your tributes for runs you expect to finish.
Keep an Eye Out for the Portal Prankster
There's another reason to explore while you're in the Undercity. The Portal Prankster is a special treasure goblin found there, and it's worth dealing with when it appears. Instead of dropping its rewards on the spot like an ordinary goblin, it adds extra chests near the exit portal after you defeat the dungeon boss. Those chests mean more chances to pick up useful loot, including runes you can put toward crafting. Don't let a long chase ruin your timer, though. If you can catch it without putting the run at risk, take the opportunity and check the portal area before leaving.
Turn Spare Runes Into New Chances
Not every Legendary rune you find will fit your build. Hold on to matching copies instead of dismissing them. At a Jeweler in a town such as Kyovashad or the Kurast Bazaar, you can combine three runes with the same name and rarity, along with a gold fee, for a random rune of the same tier. Three Cem runes or three Igni runes, for example, can become another Legendary rune. There's no promise it'll be Jah, and the gold cost adds up, so check your inventory before each visit. The process gives unwanted duplicates a purpose while you continue farming.
Use Mercenary Rewards Along the Way
Your mercenaries can help keep the search moving, too. Build rapport by taking them along on your adventures, then check the bartering vendor in the Mercenary Den as your options improve. Material caches may contain runes that add to your crafting supplies, giving you something useful to collect between Undercity sessions. Whether you're considering cheap D4 items or working with what you've already found, keep an eye on your gold, tributes, and duplicate runes. A steady routine won't guarantee Jah, but it'll give you more opportunities without making every run feel like a fresh start.
